Shannon Blanchet

Shannon (she/her) is an actor, vocal coach, director, teacher, and interdisciplinary researcher who is grateful to live and work in Treaty Six territory and the city of Saskatoon. She has appeared on stages and screens across Canada, the United States, and Europe. As a production professional, she has contributed to an array of Canadian-made media from AAA video game titles to unscripted lifestyle television shows to music videos. Shannon holds a BFA (Acting) and an MFA (Theatre Voice Pedagogy) from the University of Alberta. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Voice and Acting in the School for the Arts at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research incorporates qualitative, experimental, and creative methodologies drawn from theatre, somatics, and psychology to investigate experience and expression, cognition and performance.
